Release Blitz & Giveaway ~ Politically Incorrect by Jeanne McDonald

Young couple flirting with legs at the restaurant under the table

Sex. Lies. Greed. Power. Scandal. Politics.

Political strategist, Elizabeth McNeal has been called a lot of things throughout her career—bitch being at the top of the list—but she doesn’t let it get to her. She’s bold, she’s blunt, and she takes orders from no one. This is how she’s survived working in a man’s world. She’s the master of diversion, and her specialty is winning an election—no matter the cost.

That is, until she meets her new client, Democratic candidate, Congressman William Baxter. Kind, considerate, insanely handsome, honest, and ten years her junior, he’s a unicorn among politicians. He infuriates her. He challenges her. Most of all, he makes her see past the scandalous world of politics and helps her to discover the heart of the woman inside her.

With sparks flying between them and the election rapidly approaching, the last thing either of them need is to be caught in a compromising position. Some lines are meant to be crossed and some rules broken, but for Elizabeth and Liam is it worth the cost of being politically incorrect?

Review

Elizabeth McNeal has seen it all given her job, but she's been testing the waters and starting to date again. It's been years since she's thought about getting a relationship, but her daughter is pushing her to have a life outside of her job.

William "Liam" Baxter is an up and coming Congressman and he's just hired her to help him win in the upcoming Senate election. He everything you wouldn't expect from a politician; he's honesty, demeanor, straightforward, what you see is what you get. But there is something about him that just get's under Elizabeth's skin like no other.

Their close interactions has the sexual tension growing exponentially every minute. They continue to fight their attraction at every turn, but something is going to have to give because you can only fight it for so long. Their age difference may be an obstacle for Elizabeth, but Liam just sees a woman that he desires in every way possible.

Once they cross that line, can they keep their relationship quiet until after the election or will their secret get out? Is this just as passing fancy for Liam or is the start of a relationship of happily ever after? And can Elizabeth finally get over their difference and accept that age is just a number?

I really enjoyed this book, more than I expected to. I always enjoy books where the heroine is older, wiser, and more mature and Politically Incorrect showcases this superbly. Elizabeth doesn't need a man to make her complete, she wants a man that stands beside her as a partner. I loved how Liam is always honest with her about everything. I love his commitment in all things and how he persuses Elizabeth.

Liam is a tall drink of Texas water that you don't want to miss. When he tells you all the sexy, dirty, naughty things he wants to do to you, you will be rendered speechless and weak in the knees. And beware the sparks, as they will fly off the pages and leave you hot and bothered.

This book is perfect for those looking to heat up their nights after a long day with a couple that older but just as seductive and passionate as the twenty-something year olds.
