Blog Tour & Review ~ Knox, A Sexy Bastard Novel, by Eve Jagger

Sexy. Famous. A player on and off the field.

Cooper Knox has a body built for sex and sin, and he's my dirty little secret.
He was supposed to be a one-night stand - but now he’s back in town, and he’s going to find out the truth.

I’m his best friend’s little sister: off-limits and totally out of his league.
We swore we’d stay away from each other.

Our secret could destroy everything.

But Knox always gets what he wants.

And he wants me

Excerpt

“Yeah, well, now that Knox is back in town, we’re gonna have to find him a steady girl,” Cassie says, furrowing her brow as if she’s scanning her mental rolodex.

“Yeah, between the two of us we know plenty of girls who are still single.” Savannah pulls her phone out, ready to start scrolling through her contacts.

Cash laughs. “Don’t hold your breath, ladies. The local diamond dolls are gonna be all over our boy here. Let him enjoy it before you start trying to chain him down.”

Groupies. I’ve gotta admit—the routine gets old, but the eye candy never fails to tempt me. Like I said, you only live once. “Hey, the last girl I hooked up with didn’t even know who I was,” I can’t help pointing out.

Ryder laughs. “Is that what she told you?”

I roll my eyes.

“Did you find her hidden under a rock, then? I hear those cloistered nuns are hot.” Cash grins at me, that old twinkle in his eye. He’d never mess around on Savannah, but I swear that’s made him worse than ever about hounding me to go hook up in his place.

“Actually, I met her right here in this fine establishment of ours.”

“Nice. Hooking up in the library—exactly what we had in mind,” Cash says with more than a little enthusiasm.

“You say that like we haven’t already,” Savannah butts in with a pointed eyebrow, which earns her a high-five from Cassie.

“Hey don’t change the subject,” Ryder interrupts. “You’ve been holding out on us, bro. When was this? And who, someone from school?”

“New Year’s. And nope. Never seen her before in my life. Or since, for that matter.”

It may not have been the first time a New Year’s countdown and a whole bunch of booze ended with a girl screaming my name, but this time was different. For one thing, this time I was sober enough that my memory of the way she felt beneath me in that baseball field is still seared red-hot into my brain. The number of times I’ve relived that night, her hands all over me, her breathing heavy as she urged my fingers closer to her soaking panties . . .

“So that’s where you disappeared that night, you dirty dog!” Cash punches my arm across the table.
Savannah laughs and tops off her and Cash’s glasses of bubbly with the last of the champagne. “Anybody you care to see again?”

Yeah, you could definitely say that. If I knew how to find her, that is.

“Would if I could,” I admit. “But she was a one-and-done kinda girl. Said no when I asked for her digits.”

“Oooooh,” Ryder says. “Love ‘em and leave ‘em. The very best kind.”

Cassie punches him in the arm and steals his drink out from under him. “A mystery woman, nice. What did she look like? Maybe she’s a regular.”

I open my mouth to describe her—long brown hair, huge, sexy, deep brown eyes, a sway in her step when she walks, a gravelly voice when she’s coming—okay maybe I wouldn’t have added that last part. But right as I’m about to start speaking, a knee collides with me from behind.

I manage to keep from dropping my scotch, though just barely. I’m about to spin around and bark a curse at whoever just staggered into me, when Jackson, who’s been oddly quiet so far, stiffens. “Oh, hey,” he says, looking not at me, but above and behind me.

Everyone’s eyes follow his, and I turn around to find myself staring up at a familiar face.

“What, that’s your only greeting to your beloved little sister?”

There, standing behind me, close enough to touch, close enough that I can smell the familiar floral bite of her perfume, is my not-so-mysterious-after-all New Year’s hookup. Grinning sarcastically while looking straight at Jackson.

Little sister? Jackson’s younger sister is my mysterious New Year’s hookup?

Fuck.

You have got to be kidding me.

Review

The news of getting traded was a hard pill to swallow for Cooper Knox, but the silver lining would be finally being back home with his friends. Plus there is the opportunity to locate his New Year's one night stand that rocked his world.

Shelby Masters is a woman on a mission... living a life by her own rules and not by her overprotective, yet loving, brother's. Everyone may still call her "Little Shelby" but she a fully grown woman with needs, wants, and desires just like any other woman out there.

Their one night encounter was epic to say the least, and one that both wouldn't mind repeating. And now that Knox is back in Atlanta, he's been looking for her in the place they first met, The Library.

So again he's out with his friends, thinking about the one he let get away, when he finds out that she's the one woman that he should stay far, far away from. She's his best friend's little sister.

Their physical attraction is explosive, to say the least, but they both fight it with all they've got. It's not just her brother's reaction to worry about, but also their very tight circle of friends. If they date and it doesn't work out, their friends might have to take sides and neither want that.

However, some things are too undeniable to fight. So they start a clandestine relationship that is scorching. And the more time they spend together, the stronger their connection become and not just in the physical sense. But pressure to keep their relationship secret is starting to build, so they need to come clean.

How will their friends take the news? How will Jackson react? Can they withstand the consequences once their relationship is made public?

This is a spectacular book that will hook you from the start and leave you sated at the end. Even if you're not a baseball fan, you can't help by swoon all over Knox. He is seriously talented on the field, in bed, and everywhere inbetween. He's new to the whole relationship thing, so you may want to smack him from time to time, but you'll fall in love with him with each passing page. He will have you and your panties in no time flat.

Shelby is by far my favorite so far and she sure is a feisty little thing. She's a woman that knows what she wants and will stop at nothing to get it. I love that through everything, she stays true to herself; she's one tough cookie. She's also a very loyal and caring friend, always willing to help those she cares about. She's defiantly someone you want to have your back.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, Knox, Shelby, and all the other Sexy Bastard family. Eve has knack for writing exhilarating, heartfelt stories and this one is incredible. It is full of passion, seduction, courage and tenderness. A love story that will have you cheering from the grandstands.

Excerpt

Cash is certainly not Mr. Right, but hell if I don’t want him to be Mr. Right Now.

That’s it. Throwing caution to the wind, I lean into him and kiss him right on the lips.

He tastes like champagne and mint. It’s a quick kiss. I draw away much sooner than I would like, but it’s just as good the second time around. It clouds my head, and for the first time in forever I don’t care about my job or promotion.

Staring into my eyes, he tucks my hair behind my ear and with both hands grasping my face kisses me harder, rougher. It’s a wake-up call for my body. Every nerve’s cell tunes in to see what his hands will do next. Logically, I should stop and thank Cash for the rescue and tell him this can’t go any further, but the pleasure pooling between my legs says keep this fucking going. I thread my fingers into his hair and pull him closer.

Damn. Cash wasn’t lying. His mouth is magic. Until he pulls away.

Again. Again. I let out a noise of frustration and he chuckles.

“Easy there, sweetheart.”

“We were just getting to the good part,” I grab his shirt again, but he backs off.

“Trust me, this isn’t the good part. But I’m saving that until you’re sober.”

“I’m fine!” I protest, my blood still singing from the kiss. I want him. Now.

Cash shakes his head. “Let me put it like this.” He traces a slow, burning path up the side of my bare arm, until I swear I’m panting. “If you fuck me tonight, it’ll be about him. And when I take you – because sweetheart, you best believe, I’m going to be the one doing the taking – I’m going to be the only one on your mind. Until you can’t manage a single thought, other than ‘yes, Cash. More, Cash.’ Understand?"

Goddamn.

I nod, slowly, because I don’t have a choice. Then Cash stands, and offers me his arm. Chivalrous, like he just didn’t promise to fuck my brains out. “Now, let’s get you home.”

Review

Cash Gardner is a sexy bastard that is sexy with a capital S. Okay, maybe sexy is not a strong enough word to describe this man that will make your heart stop with a kiss and panties unless. Seriously, after a few seconds with this devastatingly sexy bastard, you will need an ice cold shower to cool off.

Cash is the resident man-whore, a love 'em and leave 'em kind of guy. He's got a secret that he's been keeping for years and sees no reason to share it.

Savannah Sunday is looking for love in all the wrong places, but there is a reason for her wrong choices. Her past is something that she's not ready to talk about.

Savy and Cash have been flirting but their friends have been telling them to not cross that line, it won't end well. But you know how to goes when everyone tells you no, you just need one little taste.

And once that line is crossed, just one taste has our couple can't keeping their hands to themselves. But you know secrets don't stay secret forever. Can our couple overcome the lies and make a future or will they walk away from each other.

This book is the highly anticipated second book from Eve Jagger and it is well worth the wait. It is everything you expect from Eve and then some. This story is provocative for sure, but it also proves that sometimes the best things comes from those chances you take. From start to finish, you get caught up between Cash and Savy, and it's the best place to be. You will laugh, you will cry, and you will burn hot for this couple. If you enjoyed Ryder Cole, then you will love Cash Gardner. Plus Cash knows how to sling a mean drink and leave you thirsty for more.

Eve has another hit on her hands and I highly recommend this Sexy Bastard.

Extra Excerpt

“So no dating for Cash Gardner?” Savannah reaches for the edamame beans and teases one free from the skin.

“Interested in my dating life?”

She shrugs with a bashful grin. “You know all about mine.”

This is probably why I’ve put off dating as long as I have, because at some point a girl like Savannah is going to start asking questions.

I try to keep things light.

“You think I have no standards.”

“Standards… or direction,” she offers. And coming after a million other digs about my bachelor lifestyle, I can’t let this one go.

“Always have to be heading somewhere, don’t you?” I ask. “So what is this, then? Dinner between friends? Dinner between more than friends? A date?”

That stumps her. Savannah for once cannot find a quick comeback. She may play the prim and proper lawyer, but I’m sure she’s just as ready to cut loose as the rest of us.

“What do you want it to be?” she asks.

“That’s not up to me, is it? It takes two to make this work.” I fix my gaze on her, not letting her eyes fall away. “Sometimes you need to let go of what’s holding you back, dragging you down.”

“And what do you think is holding me back?” she asks, her gaze turning cautious. I know she’s expecting me to bring up that asshole Tanner, but he’s not the problem right now.

“That whip-smart brain of yours. You’re thinking too much,” I tell her.

She laughs. “You prefer your women brainless?”

“No, I’m saying, you overthink things, it’s what you do. You’re a lawyer, you’re used to making arguments, being logical. But some things aren’t about logic. They’re instinct. Heat. Chemistry.”

I slide a hand under the table and find her bare knee. I stroke the soft skin gently. Savannah inhales in a rush, so damn sexy it’s hard to keep control.

“You got your heart broken, so now you’re trying to play it safe. It’s why you’re so obsessed with this idea of finding something real, a stable relationship,” I tell her, still tracing slow circles on the inside of her knee. “But did you ever think that might be the last thing you need? Whatever happened to following your gut? Taking something because you want it. Because you need it.”

My hand traces higher. Savannah’s eyes glaze. Her knees part, allowing my fingers to edge further up under her skirt.

I can see her breath coming faster now. “What if I want something I shouldn’t have?” she whispers.

“Shouldn’t?” I echo, still fighting to keep it together. Damn, the feel of this woman’s silky thighs has blood rushing straight to my cock. “Says who?”

Savannah shrugs. “Cassie. Ryder. You.”

Me?

“You keep telling me, you don’t do relationships. You just like to fuck and run.”

I grit my teeth. “I can promise you, Savannah, after I’ve fucked you the way you deserve to be fucked, both of us are going to be too spent to be running anywhere.”

Her eyes flash. She bites her lip, and I can see the desire warring in her eyes. She’s on the edge, ready to leap.

The least I can do is make it easy for her.
