Brenton turns in our direction. His cat eyes swirling with a scowl challenging us as he stalks closer and waits for our decision. We glance between each other, longing simmers in our soul. Decision made. His dominance demands we comply. Jada submits and vacates her current chair to move one chair down. He then takes his seat between the two of us and the raging animal within him calms with the nearness.

“Chaac, what do you have to report?” Marcus questions with an air of authority, beginning the meeting.

Chaac is a legend of old in the Earth realm, controlling the state of the atmosphere at any given place and time. The heat, dryness, sunshine, wind, rain all beckon to his will. He has long been a friend to Marcus and the twins. Even though the origin of his existence isn’t known to the masses, he is a longtime confidant of the Enchanted Immortals. Zenon entrusted him with the elements from the launching of all that exists. We have watched his tenacity in fighting against Baako.

“Yes, my lord. Baako is on the move. His forces have begun to infiltrate the continent. We believe they are searching for the access to the other realm where the relic is reported to be.” Chaac obediently answers.

“They will need the key to open the portal, correct?”

“Yes, Aldin. You are correct. Only the one holding the key can open the wards protecting it. Thankfully, we are in possession of the key, therefore locating the opening is of little use other than to annoy us. It will not waylay our efforts.”

“We are the only ones knowledgeable of how to achieve the opening.” Jazmine divulges. We hold the key. Brenton glances my way confusion in his eyes.

“Time and the place are vital elements in opening the realm. Regardless of Baako’s efforts he will fail.” Marcus states unconcerned.

“Brother, do not fear. We understand our role.” Jada acknowledges with a sadness in her faint tone.

Jazmine lowers her head in thought. Brenton reaches out to comfort the Goddesses both arms stretched the palms of his hands connects on our knee, touching us with heart felt concern and need. The instant he does, he is caught up in a magical time warp of mystical proportions. Driving him forward to her realm. Standing on the precipice of time, he gapes at the stark blankness surrounding him. He is balancing on air, nothing above or below him.

“What the fuck is going on? Where am I? I’m in the Twilight Zone, right? Must have been that second slice of pie I ate for lunch.” He inquires, searching the vast unknown.

“Hello Brenton Fox. I have been waiting on you for many ages,” a woman in white says as an hourglass figure comes into the light.

Life is a game; you win some and you lose some. Then there are times you play and you don’t care about the turnout, your only concern is the here and now. I want her with every fiber of my being. I clear my throat, and beautiful brown eyes turn in my direction and a sultry pout graces her plump lips as her eyes devour me. Game on. Oh, yeah. Princess Peach, here comes Mario.

Leaning over, I hover beside her ear, barely touching it, and say, “Hey, gorgeous, my name’s Microsoft. Can I crash at your place tonight?”

She chuckles pushing her face slightly into mine. I’m inundated by the faint trace of perfume, like sunshine and roses. Unique and refined.

“You use that line with all the girls?” Her voice is sexy yet full of playfulness.

“Is it working?” I ask.

“Mmmm. Maybe,” she banters back in a hungry tone.

Placing my nose against her neck, I sniff my way back up to her ear and suck the lobe into my mouth, causing a shudder from both of us.

“My place is just around the corner, soldier. You on board?” she queries as she gulps in short, quick breaths.

She’s affected just as much as I am.

“What’s your name, pretty lady?” I ask, needing a name.

“You tell me yours and I’ll tell you mine,” she playfully throws back at me.

I quickly respond, “Lukas, but you can call me Luc.”

Her dark orbs have me mesmerized, and I can’t look away. She offers me her hand.

“Lukas, I like it. I’m Sage. And you can call me Sage.”

The sexy way her mouth quirks up has me on the edge. This woman is a straight shooter, funny and beautiful, a combination that causes my dick to twitch.

“Let’s go,” I reply, my voice filled with need.

Gently, I take her by the arm and usher her out of the crowded space. She complies with no complaints.

My eyes travel to the guys and I motion with a nod, indicating my departure. The smiles on their faces reveal I’ll have hell to pay tomorrow from their ribbing, but it’s all good.

This sexy female is just what the doctor ordered and just what I need tonight.

We enter the alley in the direction of the parking lot located behind the bar when delicate fingers brush mine. I look around, and without a second thought, I swing her into my arms, crushing my mouth over hers. Her lips part and I dive in. I want to devour the sweet and juicy taste. Long nails knead my shoulders and inch up the back of my neck into my scalp, causing all the blood in my body to rush south. Fuck! Every touch from her leaves a fiery trail of unfulfilled need. At this rate, we won’t make it to her place before my dick finds a new home.

I make an effort to stop, but those damn toned legs wrap around my waist. She’s clinging to me, dry humping my throbbing dick. My hands scoop the plump mounds of her bottom and proceed to press her over my straining erection, wishing the clothes between us would disappear. She’s an untamed wildcat on the loose.

Laughing penetrates the sensual haze we are lost in. She moans, tightens her grip in my hair, and sucks my tongue harder, choosing to ignore the interruption. I don’t give a fuck if she doesn’t. I’ve met my match.

I retaliate by applying pressure with my teeth. Neither caring who sees. Lost in the carnal pleasure of the powerful aphrodisiac passing between us.

“Get a fucking room,” an angry male voice demands from somewhere behind us.

The proximity and hostility washes over me like a bucket of ice water. Something about his tone alerts me. I glance around me, searching for the culprit. The alley is empty.

I reluctantly lower Sage. This isn’t the place. We need to leave.

“Let’s get outta here. Fast,” I command.

“Okay,” She winks and grabs my hand.

We sprint the distance to her apartment. Two magnets drawn together.

By the time I’ve showered and changed, the delectable aroma of pizza permeates the room. Oliver is perched on the bed, taking up most of the space, with a piece of mouth-watering heaven in his hands. His hair is wet and he has a new change of clothes on. Where did he shower? Do I really care? He looks good enough to eat.

Just then my tummy grumbles, reminding me of another hunger. I lift the box. When I notice what he’s ordered, I freeze in my tracks.

“You don’t like chicken and jalapeño pizza? Ever since trying it in Texas, I don’t want another flavor. I’m obsessed.”

He snorts, takes a bite, and points to a corner desk.

“I ordered a salad and chicken tenders if you would rather have that.”

“It’s not that. It’s my go-to pizza of choice. Harper devours mine at least once a week.”

He stops chewing and stares quizzically my way.

“You don’t say?”

I wonder what else we have in common. Is he the yin to my yang, the Tom to my Jerry, the warmth needed to melt the ice in my heart?

Before I have time to respond, he asks, “Beer or wine?”

“Beer, of course,” I answer immediately.

“Football or baseball?”

“Football. You know I’m from the south. We love our teams.”

“Gator or Nole?”

“Florida Gator all the way, baby. Before all this happened, I planned on going to college in Gainesville.”

I shrug, push the haunting memories back, and focus on enjoying the game we are playing.

“Chocolate or vanilla?”

“Neither. Chunky Monkey.”

“Really? Okay. What about river or beach?”

“Depends. Do we fish or swim?”

“Fish.”

“Then river. Okay, stud, my turn.”

From out of nowhere, a devilish grin appears. He inclines his chin then sinks his teeth into the steaming pie.

“Sunrise or sunset?”

I chew a jalapeño and wait.

“Sunrise.”

“Ford or Chevy?”

“Ford.”

“Country or rock ’n roll?”

His forehead crinkles deep in thought before he answers.

“Nope can’t choose. Love ‘em both.”

Mouth full of yumminess, I reply, “Fair enough, Ollie. I totally agree with you. Spring or fall?”

“Well, since that’s when I kissed you, fall is my preference, baby.”

I stutter, shocked by his answer, and whisper, “Hipster or bikini?”

“Commando.”

He smirks.

“Then I won’t tell you what I’m wearing under these clothes,” I playfully banter.
