Every time I get a new Rebecca Rohman book I get this excited yet scared feeling. Excited because I love Rebecca's writing, but scared because her writing is intense and heart stopping. The Painful Side of Love is everything I love about Rebecca's writing in a stunning novella.

Life and love is never easy, but having that special someone to stand by you through the tough times is significant. Through the ups and downs Morgan and Zoë has been a strong team, but the lastest down has Morgan reeling and Zoë left alone to pick up the pieces. Can Zoë find away to bring Morgan back from the brink before things get any for precarious? Are will Zoë be facing a life on her own?

I seriously couldn't put this down. The intense drama pulls you in, grips your heart, and tugs at your emotions. Reasons behind Morgan's recent mood is heart-wrenching to say the least. I can't image how I would have acted in his position. What I loved was Zoë's perseverance. They way she strives to keep her life together, safe, and loved is her important to her. Her child, her life, her marriage has always comes first and now is no different. She's a very strong woman that I admire.

Morgan's actions was costly, but in the end he will always be there for his family. He's a man of honor and has a heart of gold. He stands up for what is right, even if it makes him look bad. He's a man you can't help but love.

Over all I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's a phenomenal story that keeps the reader enthralled until the extraordinary end.

Rebecca has put her hero's into one box set and boy is it a killer set. The drama is intense, the passion is fierce, and banter is witty. Each book on its own is phenomenal, but having them all together is out of this world. If you love your romance to have a touch of suspense, then this box set is exactly what you are looking for.

Jonathan Kole is everything that makes my heart go pitter patter. He's talk, dark, and handsome with stunning, alluring eyes. He's also got that protective streak that makes me weak in the knees.

Jada McLean isn't some wilting leaf, she's a strong, independent, successful woman. And when her life takes a turn for the worse, she could have broken under the pressure, but she didn't let it. She has a support system that is always there for her, and Jonathan there for her too.

The connection between the two will sizzle off the pages. Watching them fighting the inevitable only make the sexual tension grow into a burning inferno. The way they respect each other, always thinking of the others persons feelings first.

This story is captivating, a stunning work of art. It will take you on an emotional journey, and at times you may want to throw your ereader, but I promise it will be worth it. This is a love story that will stay with you long after you've finished it.

First off let me say how much I love Rebecca. From the moment Johnny came into my life, I was completely head over heals in love. So when she said she was writing Love MD, I may have pestered her from time to time until I received it into my greedy little hands. Yes, I even screamed a little when it showed up on my Kindle.

I was so ready to fall for Dr. Drake before I opened the book, but I really wasn't prepared for how much I would fall for him. Morgan is everything you could want: handsome, well educated, witty, financially stable, caring and extremely passionate. His cocky attitude could easily come off at rude, but his delivery of it endears him. Yeah, it's safe to say, Morgan Drake is first class.

Zoë is someone that had more downs than ups. She may be sexy, independent, strong-willed and extremely talented, but she is also guarded on who she lets into her inner circle. However, there is something about her newest client that she can't help but be attracted to. So, with the encouragement from her closest friend, Jada, and her twin brother, Zach, she decides to take a chance.

Oh my goodness! The moment these two come together is electric. The passion, desire, lust and love that flows between them radiates off the pages. You read the words as if you are actually living through the experience. The fire between Morgan and Zoë is the stuff dreams are made of.

The people he let's into his inner circle are few and far between, due to his upbringing he's a loner. But there is so much more to this man than anyone could ever imagine. Falling in love with Daemon isn't easy because he's the strong silent type, but once you get through, you'll want to let him go.

Rebecca Rohman has a brilliant way of telling a story that captures your soul. She grabs you from the start and won't let you go until the very end. With this book you will love, cry, scream, and smile. However, be sure to grab a box of tissues before you start because Rebecca will rip your heart out, but don't worry, she'll put it back together and you'll be happy for it.

Discussing Dr. Morgan Drake

Zach pulls me close and kisses my forehead. “Zoë, if anyone knows how you feel it’s me. Just try. Maybe go on a date with Doctor You Know Who. If I deserve this, you do, too. You’re the better half of us.”

I chuckle at his response, and after a tight squeeze, I pull away. “Somehow I don’t think so. For all I know, he and his ex might be rekindling the flame right now.”

“I don’t think so. A guy doesn’t go all out trying to impress a woman unless he’s seriously interested, and I think he’s made his feelings pretty clear. If I usually get what I want isn’t clear, I don’t know what is.”

“Maybe what he really wants is a quick lay.”

“A quick lay doesn’t send you long stem roses and gifts. Is this about him or you?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Is that right? I think you know how he feels. As usual, I think you’re avoiding acknowledging this because you like him—a lot. You don’t want to get hurt again, so you won’t admit how you really feel.”

Laughing carelessly, I reply, “I emphatically disagree with that statement.”

“You can emphatically disagree all you want, but it’s the truth.”

At the same moment, Peaches runs into the kitchen with something in her mouth.

“What’s that you’ve got there girl?” Zach asks, scratching her ears.

I turn my back to pull some quiche from the oven.

“Zoë Baylee Jenkins, what is this?”

I turn to see him holding a Ralph Lauren sock in his hand. I know that could only belong to Morgan. I guess I forgot to mention to him that he should be careful about leaving socks around when he was here. Peaches has a sock fetish.

“Are you blind? It’s a sock.”

“Yes, but whose is it?”

“I don’t know. She must have found that somewhere outside.”

Inspecting it, he responds. “You are such a liar. He was here wasn’t he? You’ve been holding out on me.”

I try with all my might to not break out into a smile and keep my secret safe. “Maybe.”

“Hmmm… getting regular injections yet?”

I try, I really do but I can’t keep a straight face, and I break out in laughter. “It wasn’t like that.”

“Exactly how was it?”

“He came home early and the guys had just refinished the floors so he couldn’t stay at the house. We tried to find him a hotel, but they were all booked for the weekend because of some major conference, and his sister and dad were out of town for the weekend. I offered him a bed for the night.”

“Your bed?”

“No. He slept in the guest room, thank you very much.”

“You didn’t sleep too well that night, did you?” With a naughty grin, he rubs his palms together. “Any kissy kissy?”

“There was not.”

“Why don’t you just admit it? You like him.”

I smile but don’t respond.

“You barely even give out your address, much less let anyone come to your home. Let’s see in two years who’s been here: Jada, Jonathan, Megan, Sheila, Lisa, Leo and Trevor… oh and Gail and, might I add, out of all those five are our staff members. Out of the two or three guys you had relations with after Todd, not one of them made it to your doorstep, and I’m supposed to believe that this is not a big deal.”

“You’re entitled to your thoughts and opinions.”

“Say whatever you want, but I know you better than you know yourself. Better stock up on those batteries, because if nothing happened between you two, as you claimed last night, you’re going to need them.”

My Review

First off let me say how much I love Rebecca. From the moment Johnny came into my life, I was completely head over heals in love. So when she said she was writing Love MD, I may have pestered her from time to time until I received it into my greedy little hands. Yes, I even screamed a little when it showed up on my Kindle.

I was so ready to fall for Dr. Drake before I opened the book, but I really wasn't prepared for how much I would fall for him. Morgan is everything you could want: handsome, well educated, witty, financially stable, caring and extremely passionate. His cocky attitude could easily come off at rude, but his delivery of it endears him. Yeah, it's safe to say, Morgan Drake is first class.

Zoë is someone that had more downs than ups. She may be sexy, independent, strong-willed and extremely talented, but she is also guarded on who she lets into her inner circle. However, there is something about her newest client that she can't help but be attracted to. So, with the encouragement from her closest friend, Jada, and her twin brother, Zach, she decides to take a chance.

Oh my goodness! The moment these two come together is electric. The passion, desire, lust and love that flows between them radiates off the pages. You read the words as if you are actually living through the experience. The fire between Morgan and Zoë is the stuff dreams are made of.

Love M.D. is a story that has it all; love, lust, loss, suspense, murder, mystery, corruption, heart. Rebecca has a way to tell a story that captures your imagination from start to finish. You cry with Zoë through her heartache, laugh with her witty comebacks and fall in love with Morgan alongside her. This book is not one to be missed.

Rebecca Rohman is a wife and designer currently living in the northeastern United States. She was a sales manager for a tourist magazine, and for many years prior, she was involved in marketing for a jewelry company and fine wine distributor.

About fifteen years ago, she started writing her first romance novel purely to entertain herself. In early 2012, she decided to complete and release it.
