Series Blitz ~ Awkward Love Series by Missy Johnson

It's Complicated
Series: Awkward Love #1
Author: Missy Johnson
Genre: Romance
Release Date: December 13, 2017

Blurb

They call him the Anaconda, and I'm pretty sure it isn’t because he likes snakes.

Nick Jenson is my neighbor. My hot, oh-so-sexy, very-well-equipped neighbor that I’d spend hours watching from the safety of my bedroom window.

I saw lots of things I probably shouldn’t have. Sometimes I’d touch myself, imagining it were his hands roaming over my body instead of my own. I had just one mission—to find out if the rumors were true.

Then one day, he caught me watching him.

I was mortified. I was prepared to quit college, move to another country, and live the rest of my life saying, “Nick who?” But, apparently, life had other ideas.

Because Nick? Well, he isn’t just my neighbor … He’s also my father’s best friend. If I thought things were difficult before, they were about to get a whole lot more complicated.

Oh, and those rumors? Holy fuck, are they true …

Series: Awkward Love #2
Author: Missy Johnson
Genre: Romance
Release Date: February 15, 2018

Blurb

Standing on the balcony, outside my boss’s apartment, wearing only my underwear?

Not how I expected to start my Saturday morning.

I guess I should’ve thought harder about going home with my sexy new gym instructor, especially since I had no idea the guy was married. When he pushed me out onto the balcony, five seconds before his wife walked through the door, I jumped one apartment over because I thought it would be less embarrassing for a stranger to find me than his wife.

That was a smart move.

So here I am, wearing next to nothing and freezing my ass off, standing outside the living room window of my young, sexy, and very intimidating boss, Chase Winston.

I have two choices: I sit here and try to think of another way out of this and risk dying of hypothermia. Or I can suck it up and knock on that window. After a long, internal argument with myself, I choose
option two.

Here goes nothing…

Release Date: April 16, 2018

Blurb

We've all been there.

One minute, you're sprawled out on your bed, minding our own business and the next you're lying in the back seat of your best friend's car as she races you to the ER.

And not the closest one either.

No. You're headed to the one fifty miles farther out, because the one five minutes away is where you start your residency next week.

So there you are, lying in cubical nine, hoping like hell that the doctor about to examine you isn't young, sexy or male.

Of course he's all three.

Telling him about the clitmaster7000 I have lodged inside me is by far the single most embarrassing moment of my life.

Discovering he's my brother's new roommate is even worse.

Series: Awkward Love #4
Author: Missy Johnson
Genre: Romance
Release Date: June 15, 2018

Blurb

There's nothing quite like watching your professor as he motorboats a stripper.

The expression on his face when he looked up and saw me standing there would've been funny if I wasn't so mortified. I wanted to turn around and run, but I couldn't do that to Jake. It was his bachelor party, after all.

So, instead, we stumbled our way through the world's most awkward conversation, because what do you say after witnessing that?

At least things couldn't get much worse, right?

Wrong.

The real fun began when the guys figured out how we knew each other.

Have you ever heard of the term frottage? Yeah, neither had I. Just like I'd completely underestimated how awkward it would be getting a lap dance from another woman while my professor watches, or how turned on I'd be.

My first mistake was going there in the first place.
My second mistake was not leaving the moment I saw him.
My third mistake, and the one I regret most?

Applying for that TA position with him last week…

** Comfort Zone is a M/F student/professor romance **

Excerpt

Becca pounds on the door just as orgasm number six tapers off. I can barely move by this point, but I made it to the door to unlock it before number six and that’s the main thing. Now all I need is for her to get this thing out of me.

“It’s me,” she calls out. “Are you going to let me in?”

“It’s open,” I manage to get out.

She walks in, her eyes widening at the sight of me hunched over the couch, thighs clenched, rocking back and forth on the floor. At least I’m not naked. I managed to half squirm my way into a dress that I found lying on the floor in my room—though I must look a mess—with only one arm through the hole and the skirt bunched up around my waist. Now that I think about it, I’m not sure why I even bothered. She sprints over to me, crouching down beside me.

“Jesus, are you okay?” She glares at me as I let out a strangled sob. “Tell me what’s wrong?” she says. She looks me over, her eyes wide with concern. “Were you attacked? Did someone break in and rape you? Talk to me, Laura. Should I be calling an ambulance? The police?” Her dark eyes study mine as I struggle to form words to answer any of her questions. “For God’s sake, Laura. Say something.”

“No ambulance,” I mutter.

I groan and clamp my legs together, gasping as my body begs for relief. This is a nightmare. I point to the bedroom, where the box is still lying on the bed. Becca stalks through to my room, returning a few seconds later with the box in her hands. Her eyes widen, to the point where they’re nearly ready to fall out of her head.

“No fucking way,” she hisses.

I nod, sweat pouring out of places I didn’t know sweat could form. She clasps her hands over her mouth and stifles her laughter, before quickly kneeling down next to me.

“What do you want me to do? Dig it out? I’ll do that for you,” she says as I glare at her. “Wait… I should’ve asked before offering. Front or back?”

“Becca,” I growl, my voice high noting at the end.

“What? I’m sorry, it was a legitimate question,” she cries, holding her hands up in defense. “You know I don’t handle poop. How on earth did you manage to get it stuck in there in the first place?” she asks, shaking her head.

“Can we discuss this later, after it’s been removed from my vagina?” I beg her.

“Yes, yes, I’m sorry. Okay, let’s get you down to my car.”

“Car?” I say, alarmed. “What happened to you offering to help me—”

“You seriously want me digging around in there like I’m looking for loose change down the back of the couch?” she asks seriously. Then she giggles, but she stops when she sees my expression. “Sorry. Disturbing mental image. You understand this is pushing the friendship boundaries, right?”

I nod weakly. Oh, I understand it, all right.

She sighs and helps me climb up properly onto the couch while I try to steady myself as my body begins to convulse. God, not again. I wipe a layer of sweat off my forehead and rock back and forth, riding out the orgasm as I whimper into the cushion. Then I gasp, clenching my thighs again, until it passes.

“You’re coming already? But I haven’t even worked my magic hands on you yet,” she jokes, flexing her fingers. “Hey, do you have any kitchen gloves, or—”

“Just get it out,” I beg her.

“Fine,” she grumbles as she gets down onto her knees. She lifts up the skirt of my dress and peers between my legs. “Hey, you smell really good. What kind of body wash do you use?”

Becs.”

“Right, sorry,” she mutters. “Focus.”

Review

Laura Black has a goal and she's worked hard to make her goals a reality, but an unexpected encounter has turned her world inside outside.

Luke Dillon has never met a woman quite like Laura so when he gets the chance to get to know her better, he jumps at it.

Just as their relationship comes together, life throws a couple of curve balls that changes everything.

So when push comes to shove will they break under the pressure or will it only make them stronger?

Too Much Information is a fun, quick, witty read that will have you laughing your butt off while falling in love with Laura and Luke.

I really loved this is captivating and hilarious read. The banter between Laura and Luke is sensational and I couldn't get enough of it. And the passion between them was exciting and oh so hot. It really is the quick escape after a long day.

I really enjoy reading Missy's books, but this series is quickly becoming my favorite.

With Too Much Information's entertaining storyline, charming hero, adorable heroine, and intense passion, I would highly recommend it. And when you do pick up this book, be prepared to laugh out loud over and over again.

Excerpt

“Seriously, did you see the way she looked at me when she told me not to stuff it up?” I huff, stalking back over to Peyton. “Like, God forbid I put two sugars in his damn coffee instead of one. Hey, maybe I should slip some laxatives in there?” I say with an evil grin. “I mean, he walks around like he’s got something lodged up his ass, maybe all he needs is a good, old-fashioned cleanout.”

“Lanna—”

“No. I don’t care how ridiculously sexy he is or how dreamy those blue eyes are to stare into,” I say, cutting her off.

I was on a roll, and Peyton wasn’t going to stop me. I have two years’ worth of frustration to vent, and it’s all coming out now, one way or another.

“He’s an asshole to everyone here but Jade, and I bet that’s only because she’s sucking his cock. Not that I wouldn’t go there if he asked me to—”

“Lanna,” Peyton hisses, her eyes wide.

“Oh, come on, like you wouldn’t suck his cock too,” I retort, nodding knowingly at her. “Hey, maybe we could tag team him.”

We’d had a lengthy discussion about this a few weeks ago over a bottle of tequila, so I knew exactly what she wanted to do with that ten inches of pure stiff muscle. And I thought I was the dirty one. I chuckle to myself and turn around. My heart skips a beat when I spot Chase leaning against Jade’s desk. He smirks at me and casually lifts one eyebrow.

Oh, god no.

My heart pounds as I wait for him to react. This can’t be happening. I cannot believe I just said that. Well, I can believe it, because I say shit like that every day, but not when he’s standing right behind me. I glare at Peyton, who releases a snort and then flushes, bowing her head. Chase’s eyes don’t leave me as I glance around the room, praying for an escape, but there isn’t one.

It’s like a scene from a really bad movie. With any luck, he’ll drag me outside and throw me on the back of his bike and take me somewhere to have his way with me. Or his office will do just fine.

“Is Jade here?” he asks, directing his question at me, his smooth, deep voice making me shiver.

I shake my head, incapable of speaking. I think it’s worse that he’s ignoring the obvious issue of my outburst. I’d almost prefer for him to say something about it. Anything. Almost... He nods, and then walks over to the door, stopping just as he reaches it. I brace myself as he turns his attention back to me.

“Alana?” he asks.

I force myself to meet his steel blue eyes, wishing he didn’t find this so damn amusing.

“Yes?” I whisper, feeling sick. God, I am so embarrassed.

“While I appreciate your attentiveness to my health, I can assure you that everything is functioning just as it should. Maybe you should focus more on your job and less on things that don’t concern you?” he asks lightly. “Like who is and isn’t sucking my cock.”

He walks out, briskly closing the door behind him.

I stumble over to my desk and slump down onto my chair, my eyes wide. I breathe out, feeling dazed. My heart’s racing and I’m feeling a mixture of extreme nausea and embarrassment over the whole situation. Every time I think about what I just said, more or less to his face, I want to throw up.

Peyton rushes over to me, both panicked and trying not to laugh, which under any other circumstance would be a funny combination. I glare at her, which sets her off.

“I’m so sorry,” she giggles, shaking her head. “I swear I’m not laughing at you, but that just made my fucking day.”

“I’m glad I can be a source of amusement for you,” I grumble, my tone sour.

“At least he knows your name now.” she offers, her eyes twinkling.

I scowl at her. I think I preferred it when he didn’t.

Review

Alana Morrison worked her butt off to get her degree and she had hoped this job would be a great stepping stone, but two years later she feels like she's stuck. Chase may be a walking wet dream, but is that enough to make her stay in a job she feels like she's not using her talents to the fullest. But when she finds herself in a very unexpected situation, her life takes a turn she never saw coming.

Chase Winston isn't the man many people think he is. The last couple of years haven't been easy but lately there's been the bright spot in his world. He tries to fight the attraction, but after that balcony escapade all bets are off.

Just as their relationship is taking off and Alana's job duties are increasing, a secret Chase had been keeping threatens to tear them apart. Will they be able to work through all the lies and build a future? Or will one too many lies drive Alana away for ever?

I Can Explain is a fun, sexy, captivating read right from the word go.

I love Alana always speaks her mind even when it means sticking her foot in her mouth. She's feisty, sassy, smart, and everything nice. I adore how she still gives loves a chance even though she's been through some bad relationships in the past.

Chase may be a little rough around the edges, but he's got a big heart even if doesn't show it often. He dedication to is job is admirable, but when is comes to Alana he puts her first. Watching him fall in love was breathtaking.

I really couldn't put down I Can Explain and loved every minute of it. I really loved Chase and Alana and enjoyed the journey their relationship went on.

So if you are looking for an entertaining, seductive, and charming read, then I highly recommend you pick up I Can Explain today. Chase will definitely take care of all your needs and leave you smiling and completely satisfied.

Excerpt

“Who the hell books a flight for seven a.m.?” I grumble under my breath as I hoist my suitcase out from the boot of the taxi. I toss a twenty through the open window of the driver’s seat, telling him to keep the change. The whole twenty cents. Yeah, I’m generous like that.

I’ve barely slept, which I guess is good considering the eighteen-hour flight I have ahead of me. Unless she’s going to want to talk the whole way, in which case no sleep is bad. Of course she is. Women always want to talk. Dying women probably take that to a whole other level. I chastise myself for being so insensitive. Let’s see if I can get through this trip without offending the girl. Or more realistically, let’s see if I can get through the week.

I stroll through departures, scanning the crowd for Erin. I’ve only met her twice now, but she was kind of unforgettable—hot in a she-has-no-idea-how-hot-she-is kind of way. Even that first time, all wet and dishevelled, she was mesmerizing.

My eyes fall on her and a smile tugs at my lips. She’s bent over her open bag, her long blond hair hanging loosely over her shoulder. It feels kind of wrong that I’m checking her out, given her situation, but I can’t help myself. I give it another minute before I walk over to join her.

“Hey,” I say.

She jumps, straightening up. Her face reddens when she faces me.

“You’re supposed to do the packing thing at home,” I tease her. Half her luggage is dumped onto the floor next to her, and I love that she doesn’t seem to give a shit.

“I’m looking for something,” she retorts, narrowing her stunning blue eyes.

I raise my eyebrows curiously and grin.

“It’s not important.”

“It obviously is,” I argue. I’m enjoying playing with her. “And the fact that you don’t want to tell me what it is makes me wonder…”

“Well stop wondering,” she replies. “If you want to do something useful, help me zip this up. It’s stuck.” She bends back over and gives the zip a yank, as if to prove her point.

“It’s stuck because you have this caught in it.” I grab hold of the offending material and back the zipper up. It releases, and I proudly hold it up. “Lacy and transparent,” I say when I realise I’m holding a pair of her panties. I let out a low whistle. “I’m impressed.”

She blushes and snatches them out of my hand, shoving them back in her suitcase. She zips it closed and glares at me. “I’m beginning to regret this already,” she growls.

“Never regret lacy panties, Erin,” I tease. “But seriously, I’m just messing with you. This trip will be great. Trust me. We’ll have fun.”

“I’m having trouble believing that,” she retorts, properly facing me for the first time.

Review

Oh Missy, the emotional roller coaster you put your readers through is jaw-dropping.

Erin and Cade's unconventional journey has it's ups and downs, just like any other. I love how they rather live a life full of adventure, then sitting around just waiting to die. They didn't expect their connect to be as profound as their relationship developed.

However, be warned, the reason for the journey Erin embarks will tug on your heart, and the end will have you falling apart.

Don't Hold Back is full of heart, hope, and. love. It show that you can't be afraid of taking risks, no matter the outcome.

I highly recommend that you have a box of tissues on hand when you pick up this book. You will laugh, cry, scream, and fall in love. I believe that if you take the chance on this book, you will happy for it.

Review

Male strippers? Yes, please!!

Slow Grind is more than male strippers, it's about a group of friends that have been friends for a lifetime coming together to support one in need. And that makes these guys extremely sexy, in my own personal opinion. Men that would do anything for their mate is exceedingly endearing.

Max, Aubrey's brother, is fighting for his... again. Only this time the cancer seems to winning. There's an experimental trial that he can get into, but it's going to cost a pretty penny. That's when the idea to strip for a cure came from. If anyone can make this long shot a reality, it's this group of friends.

The love story that surround Drew and Aubrey is one that started so many years ago, Drew just didn't know it at the time. But now things are different, they've both grown up. What once wasn't there is there now.

They attempt to fight their growing attraction and feelings, but in the end their relationship is inevitable. And once they heat up, it sizzles right off the pages. Just think about it makes me flush.

Missy and Ashley have written a captivating, enthralling, and seductive read. I can't wait to see what these two will bring us next!
