To say I was looking forward to this book would be an understatement!
Part 5 picks up where Part 4 ended, Fiona had been fired by Gabe and then asked to come back and he's getting her response. And to say he's dumbfounded by her response is putting it lightly. But he knows that he can't complete the Protocol without her and, more importantly, he can't stand being away from her.
Coming back to work proves harder than Fiona thought. But she's been through hell in the last couple of months and knows what she must do. So she cleans up the miss with Protocol and cleans house in the lab. Now she needs to replace the few people she let go and face Gabe once and for all.
Once they are alone in the same room, well, things get heated. Gabe and Fiona have something special and Gabe's not going to let Fiona stand in their way. So, Fiona decides to take a risk and give into her feelings.
You would think, finally everything is coming together, right? Not so fast. Fiona is falling fast for Gabe, but she'd afraid to believe he could ever want more. Gabe isn't positive he knows what is going on with his feelings. He wants Fiona like no other, but is this love? He doesn't do love. He's a love them and leave them kind of guy. Can he even settle down with one woman? If he can, if Fiona the right woman for him? Can they work through their issues and make a real go at this relationship? Only time will tell.
This series is deliciously sensual. I've enjoyed every part of it from beginning to end. Gabe and Fiona are fiercly independent but learning to trust and believe in each other. Gabe is a man that will go after what he wants and takes no prisoners. Fiona is a smart woman looking to not only make a name for herself but help though suffering as her grandmother did for years. She is a timid because of her past, but having Gabe by her side, is becoming a confident woman.
Sloan Storm's ability to bring the reader into a story and make them fall in love with these characters is undeniable. The series will make you laugh, cry, love, and hate. The roller coaster this series takes you is highly recommended. Gabe has quickly became an all-time favorite of mine.

My mouth watered as I looked at her. Something about her energy seemed electric and wild. Fiona’s eyes sparkled with defiance, and she glared in my direction. I stood from the chair and started to walk towards her.
“I swear to God, Gabe, if you touch me—I’ll scream.”
I licked my lips as I looked at her in silence.
I took another step towards her, close enough to get my first whiff of her perfume. While she stared at me with a look of uncertainty on her face, I relished the feeling of being close to her once again. My cock twitched as I watched her ample breasts heave. In between frenetic gulps of air, her chest moved up and down, tempting my hands to touch them.
“What are you doing, Gabe?” she whispered. “Don’t push me.”
I narrowed my gaze as I looked at her mouth. More than anything, I wanted to press my lips against hers. Fiona continued to fight through labored breath as I moved closer yet again. Her lips parted, and I was almost close enough to feel the heat as it escaped from the between them.
Just then, Fiona broke my gaze and her eyes darted towards the conference room door. Within a fraction of a second, she moved as if she were trying to escape, but as she did, I slammed my hand against the wall, palm flat, blocking her exit. She snapped her head in my direction, and I wasted no more time.
I crushed my mouth into hers, pinning her head against the wall. Right away, Fiona resisted me with everything she had. After a moment or two, she shook her head with a violent thrash, and broke her lips free of mine.
“Stop it, Gabe,” she warned. Lifting her hand, she wiped her mouth with the back of her palm.
I smiled as I looked into her eyes.
“I mean it,” she began. “I’m not kidding around. If you so much as touch me again, I’ll knee you right in the balls.”
But just as she finished speaking, I noticed the tiniest of twitches underneath Fiona’s eye. She didn’t believe her own bluff. I extended my other arm. Now with both palms flat against the wall, I engulfed her with my presence.
Without hesitation, I leaned my entire body into her, pinning her against the wall with my weight. My lips met hers and I drove my tongue inside her mouth. Predictably, Fiona resisted, squealing and moaning and otherwise protesting, until at last, I felt the rigidness fade from her body.
