Their first chance at love ended in heartbreak

Wade Rycroft fell in love with Geneva Harris when she was the smartest girl in his class. The rodeo star and the shy academic made for an odd pair, but their chemistry was undeniable. They made plans to get married after high school. Those plans changed when Genny broke his heart. Joining the Army gave him a chance to leave that life behind. News that Genny married the town’s golden boy let Wade know that he could never go home again.

A chance encounter rekindles an old flame

Fifteen years later, he’s found his place in the world and tried to forget the woman who left him standing in the rain. After leaving the Army he forged a new life as a bodyguard at McKay-Taggart, but he still feels incomplete. When his brother’s wedding brings him home to Broken Bend, Texas, he walks into a storm of scandal. Genny’s marriage has dissolved, the town has turned against her, and someone is making threats. Seeing her again reawakens feelings he thought were long gone, and he worries that staying close enough to help her could be too much to bear.

Their reunion just might kill them both

After an attempt is made on Genny’s life, Wade can’t refuse to help her. Watching over her day and night, it’s clear that having her back in his life could be the thing to finally make him whole. When the danger follows them back to Dallas, their second chance at love could be over before it even begins.

“Don’t. Don’t tell me how to feel. I know you’ve worked through this, but I don’t know how to.”

“It helps to admit that we were all children back then.”

“My mother wasn’t.” He needed to talk about this with her.

“No, but she wasn’t the same after your dad died. She was lost and I’ve forgiven her,” she replied quietly. “You can’t spend your life being angry.”

“You’re angry with me.”

For a moment he thought she would ignore him. Then she turned to him, her eyes shining in the moonlight. “Maybe. It’s hard to figure out how I feel about you. For a long time, I dreamed about you at night. You were the only man I ever loved. Brock killed that. I think he might have killed the part of me that can love someone other than my son. I didn’t feel a lot when my father passed. But then he was the one who told me to suck it up. I went to him after Brock hit me the first time. He told me to not make my husband mad.”

“Genny, he should have killed him. I would have. God, I should have.” That sorrow that had been building inside him threatened to spill over. Anger was there, but it was overshadowed by the terrible pain he felt at the thought of her being alone and afraid.

“It’s funny,” she said, studying him in the silvery light. “I went over pretty much every possible scenario I could, and this wasn’t the way I thought you would handle it. It’s why it took forever for me to talk to you. I thought you would either not care at all or that you would be so angry you went after everyone. I hesitated because I thought I might unleash a beast.”

He could give her this. Since the moment he’d learned the truth, he’d genuinely forced himself to think about how he reacted. It would be selfish to act out in anger when she needed him to be calm, to think about what was best for her. The drive from Broken Bend to Dallas with Ash had made that clear to him. They needed someone who would thoughtfully protect them, not a raging animal who fed his own needs. “You’ve had enough anger in your life. It’s there. God, it’s there, but I swear I won’t act on it because I won’t do anything that could hurt you. I’ll try to handle him in every legal way I can and if I have to take him out, I’ll do it in a way that can never come back on any of us. You don’t need my rage. You do need me though.”

“I don’t want to.”

“Because you think I’ll let you down again.” It wasn’t a question.

“Because I don’t want to love anyone again,” she admitted.

High school parking lots are one of the most dangerous places on earth. I don’t have statistics to back that up…but I know it’s true.

I pull into the school parking lot Monday morning in my Dad’s giant, newly repaired mint-green Buick, with Back in Black by AC/DC blasting from the speakers. I feel tough, powerful—like I’m driving a tank.

I’m a badass teacher—I’ll run you down even if you’re a student—I’ve got twenty-nine more in class just like you.

The outfit helps too—leather boots, blue jeans, a starched white blouse and a black leather jacket. It’s my armor. The morning air is cool and crisp today, but I barely feel it. I’m locked and loaded and ready to roll.

As I march towards the main entrance, I spot Garrett and Dean and Alison Bellinger outside the doors. They pause when they see me, waiting.

“Damn,” Dean chuckles. “Callie’s got her shit-kickers on. Did you dig them out of a mosh pit from 1993?”

Garrett crosses his arms. “Somebody’s channeling Michelle Pfiefer in Dangerous Minds.”

He looks fantastic. His hair is tousled from the breeze and kisses his brow, and he’s wearing a dark blue sweater that’s snug around his biceps and soft, worn, light blue jeans. I remember his arms around me yesterday on my parent’s porch. The wonder and exhilaration of the moment.

Of him.

The intensity in his eyes, the desire and possessiveness in the grasp of his hands. The scorching feel of his mouth, his wet talented tongue that made my stomach swirl and my head spin.

So much for not complicating things.

But I’m not going to play head games with myself or Garrett—we’re too old for that shit.

I have feelings for him—I always have—our break-up had nothing to do with either of us not wanting each other desperately. But these aren’t just leftover echoes of a sweet, first love—this is something new. A throbbing, breathless attraction to the amazing man he’s become. I want to be near him. I want to know him, inside and out, all over again.

And he feels the same way. Garrett wants this version of me as much as he always did—maybe even more. I heard it in his whispered words and felt it in his kiss.

I don’t know if we have a future, if it can go anywhere. We have separate lives on opposite ends of the country. But I’m not going to worry about that—for now, I’m going to take each day as it comes and enjoy every moment we can.

Except for now. Now is not the time for enjoying or worrying or relationship building…now is the time for focusing. Now is the time to be ice and steel—don’t smile, don’t waver.

“Little fucknutters don’t know who the hell they’re dealing with,” I growl.

Allison pumps her fist. “That’s the spirit.”

Garrett opens the door for me. “Go get ‘em, Gangster’s Paradise.”

Review

Callie Carpenter has been living the dream, or at least that's what she believes until she receives a call that brings her back home and causes her to rethink everything.

Garrett Daniels may be a player but he's never been coy about it. He's had his heart broken once before and isn't looking to go through that again. But what he never expected was his past to come walking back into his life and changing his outlook completely.

Their attraction is just as strong as before despite the years that have passed. A love like theirs can't be denied or contained, but Callie has plans to return to her life in California.

Will Garrett be able to let Callie leave again or will he decide that he'll do whatever it takes to keep her in his life even if it means giving up everything he's knows and follow her anywhere?

Getting Schooled is a fun, sexy, captivating story about second chances, forgiveness, and never giving up on love.

Callie is a sassy, strong, independent woman that isn't afraid to stand up for herself. I love how she speaks her mind and always follows her heart. She may not know what will happen when her time comes to return to her life in California, she still opens her heart and soul to Garrett. Her love for Garrett, her family, friends, and her kids is endearing.

Garrett has been stuck in his ways for so long, but one look at Callie and he changes everything. His love for her makes him see a future he never expected but can't help but want now. I love how far he goes to win her heart completely and without question.

The passion that flows between Callie and Garrett is intense and can be felt through each page.

Getting Schooled has a enchanting storyline, a charming and sexy hero, an alluring and brilliant heroine, and romance that gets hotter with each sultry word uttered. Emma always delivers dazzling reads that will leave the reader with a delightful book hangover.

I would highly recommend picking up Getting Schooled if you are looking for something fun, witty, and passionate. You won't be disappointed with this engaging story.

Promo & Review Tour ~ Rock King, Nothing But Trouble #1, by Tara Leigh

Today I am taking part in the promo tour for Rock King by Tara Leigh! Rock King is available now, and the second book in the Nothing but Trouble series, Rock Legend, is available for pre-order and will release on July 17! Check out some teasers for both titles below.

Blurb

Fans of Kristen Callihan and Kylie Scott will scream for this sizzling bad boy rock star romance!

I'm not who you think I am.

Shane Hawthorne has it all. At least, that's what the headlines say about me. I have millions of fans, awards, more money - and women - than I know what to do with. But what you don't see is the wreckage I've caused. The memories and pain I can't escape, even when I pour them into music and spin them into gold.

I tried to forget. To lose myself in booze and groupies. It didn't work. It hurt me and - worse - it hurt my band. That's the last thing I want to do, so I'm cleaning up my act... starting with Delaney Fraser.

Gorgeous, smart, drama-free, and even nice - Delaney is the perfect "girlfriend." When I'm with her I don't have to pretend. It's like she sees the real me. And I can see a future with her. But that's dangerous. Because the truth is, Shane Hawthorne doesn't actually exist. He's a shield to hide who I really am. Fraud. Runaway. Addict. Murderer.

And it's impossible to love a lie, right?

The Nothing but Trouble series
Rock King
Rock Legend
Rock Rebel

Review

Delaney Fraser is working hard to fulfill her promise to her father while also trying to find a way to get over her past. The last thing she wants or needs is someone like Shane Hawthorne turning her world upside down.

Shane Hawthorne isn't the man many think he is, but the past he's running from seems to always threaten to come knocking on his door. But one look into Delaney's eyes and his life in irrevocably changed.

Both have secrets that could destroy their lives and those around them, but as everyone knows, secrets have a way of coming out in the end.

Will they be able to stand together as the world learns of their deceit? Or will this be something neither can overcome?

Rock King is an exciting, intriguing, passionate read that will captive the reader from start to finish.

Delaney is stronger than she appears or feels. Her heart is what leads her and why she stands by Shane even when he tries to push her away. I love how she always wants to do the right thing even if it means her freedom is in jeopardy.

Shane had many vices in the past, but I admire his strength to stay on the right path. He's need to protect Delaney is endearing to say the least. I love that he's rough around the edges but has a big heart even if he doesn't show it all the time.

The passion between Delaney and Shane is off the charts hot. It's starts strong and only grows stronger the more they get to know each other.

I loved Rock King with it's entertaining storyline, flawed but charming hero, a marred but alluring heroine, and an intense passion that will overheat the reader and ereaders alike.

This is one thrilling read that I would highly recommend anyone looking for a book that will leave you with a rocking book hangover.

Henry glanced up at the clock. Two thirty p.m. Somehow he’d expected Win to show up bright and early this morning. He’d woken up and made a pot of coffee, and he’d gone over all the ways he would explain to her that this was a bad idea.

Because it was still a bad idea.

Alicia might have given in to Noah and Drew Lawless’s blackmail, but she would be back at some point. Then there was the fact that he dealt with unsavory clients on a daily basis. He took on high-profile cases and often got dragged through the mud along with the client.

There were plenty of people out there who hated him. Loathed him and despised the very fact that he existed and cheered if he failed. He was used to it. Sweet little Win was not and would be horrified.

So he was going to tell her how amazing their night together was and then turn her down gently.

Except she hadn’t shown up and that bugged the hell out of him.

She’d been the one to claim she would be here despite the fact that he’d told her not to come. She’d told him she didn’t care what he thought.

It was perverse, but if he’d had her number, he might have called and said a few things about setting expectations and then not meeting them.

He started another pot of coffee. This was completely foolish. She’d put some distance between the two of them and realized how little they had in common. At least one of them had some sense.

The scent of French roast hit the air and he realized he was pro-crastinating. He was putting off the moment when he had to step back into the city and face the music. He would have to work his ass off to find anyone who wanted to hire a lawyer with his tarnished reputation. It didn’t matter that his addiction issues had never cost a client a dime. The perception would be there, and perception was over half the battle in life.

He should pack up tonight and leave it all to the agent. It’s what he should have done yesterday, but he’d enjoyed spending time with David, showing him places on the island and telling him stories.

It was time to go home now. Time to forget about pretending to be someone he couldn’t afford to be anymore. Time to put away thoughts of quiet and peace and get back to being the Monster of Manhattan. That was the only way he was going to survive.

The Monster of Manhattan didn’t give in to urges. He plowed through all problems with a single-minded, ruthless intent. The Monster didn’t need attention, though he tended to get it. Attention didn’t matter to the Monster. Money mattered. Power mattered.

He would get them both back.

The Monster certainly didn’t need some do-gooder in his bed. He would select a woman, rationally discuss his needs with her, and pay her for her services, whether they be as a plus-one to gatherings or as a body in bed. That was how he would view it. Transactional.

Transactional was safe.

So he was going to stop being such a whiny asshole and be grateful that Win had some sense.

A knock broke through the quiet of the house.

He practically ran for the door.

He opened it and there was Win, standing in the soft light of the afternoon, her hair up in a ponytail. She was wearing denim shorts and a blousy, feminine shirt. She had a bag of groceries in one hand and what looked like a duffel in the other.

“I know you said I shouldn’t come back, but you’re wrong and I’m going to give you all my reasons why.”

He didn’t care. She was here. He walked straight up to her and cupped that pretty face in his hands and kissed her for all he was worth.

Fuck transactional. He wanted something real for once in his damn life.

When he came back up, he was rewarded with a soft look in her eyes, her lips curving into a small smile.

“No arguing with me?”

He did have some problems they should discuss. “You’re late.”

Her smile went brilliant. “I had some things to clear up. I thought if you didn’t mind, I might stay with you for a few nights.”

He took the bag of groceries out of her hand and led her inside. “I think that sounds like a great idea.”

“This is way easier than I thought it would be,” she admitted. “Have you had lunch? I could whip up some sandwiches and we could have a picnic.”

He stashed the grocery bag in the fridge. She set down her duffel, and that made it much easier to scoop her up and into his arms. “I know exactly what I want for lunch.”

Her eyes went wide, but she didn’t struggle at all. Her arms went around his shoulders as he carried her to the big bedroom.

It had been cozy in his old room, but he needed more space if she was going to live here with him for a few weeks.

He stopped at the edge of the big bed he’d had brought in after he’d inherited the place. It was the only room he’d redone, with the thought of spending long weekends with his friends up here. He never had managed the time, but now he was happy he’d spent the cash to do it because he could share it with her.

The last few weeks of being Henry before going back to the real world.

He set her down on the bed and pulled his shirt over his head. He wasn’t playing around this time. That was for later. It had been entirely too long since he’d had her.

He needed her.

He knew it was something he should question, even be slightly afraid of, but he didn’t care in the moment. All that mattered was she was here and he could put off any thoughts of letting her go for a few days. He could sink into her.

She was his reward for every crappy thing he’d been through in the last couple of years.

Review

Win Hughes is ready to start a new chapter in her life. She's worked hard to get where she is today and she's not about to let her past vices get in the way of her plan.

Henry Garrison spiraled out of control when he marriage ended but now he's back in control and taking each day one day at a time. He knows what he needs to do to get his life back in order and falling in love is no where on his radar.

A change encounter brings these two together. A couple of weeks of no strings attached pleasure is just what the doctor ordered. Then real life comes calling and they part thinking they'll see each other again.

But when an unexpected event occurs, these two are thrown back together again and withheld information comes to light.

Can Henry put aside his feelings to help Win in her time of need or will he be unable to overcome her past? And can Win show Henry that some people are more than what is reported in the tabloids?

Order of Protection is a sultry, thrilling, intense read that captivates the reader from start to finish.

I love how feisty Win is right from the start. Henry tries to push her away more than once, but she stands her ground and tells him what's what. And for a person that grew up with money and privilege, she a very down to earth individual and appreciates the small stuff.

Henry is a hard man to get know but if you take the time to bring down his walls you'll see just how strong, passionate, loyal, and kind he really is. He tries to push Win away and keep his distance, but he knows there is something special about her that will always call to him. Even when he wants to be mad at her, he can't help but take care of her.

The chemistry between Win and Henry is off the charts, so be ready for a cold shower after you finish with these two. Henry may be a cutthroat in the courtroom, but in bedroom he's very kind, considerate, and aims to please all your desires.

I rather loved Order of Protection more than I expected. Lexi Blake is a talented storyteller and Order of Protection has a very tantalizing storyline that will keep you glued to each page wondering what will happen next. The hero is complicated and extremely swoon worthy both in and out of the bedroom. The heroine is alluring and so much stronger than she gives herself credit for. And the twists and turns this read takes you on will have on the edge of your seat.

I highly recommend Order of Protection, it's a page-turing read you'll gladly stay up way past your bedtime to find out what will happen next.

Review Tour & Giveaway ~ Sonnet Coupled by Roxanne D. Howard

Sonnet Coupled
by Roxanne D. Howard
Genre: New Adult/Multicultural/Interracial/Erotic/Contemporary Romance

Sheltered and cosseted, Sonnet Mendoza abided by her papi’s wishes her whole life: no boys, studies first and always. Now an ER nurse in a busy Chicago hospital, medical school is so close Sonnet can taste it. Just like her father always wanted. Just like she can taste all the things she wants—like Griffith Parker, the man of her dreams and her new housemate.

Working “graves” in a large hospital as a security guard while attending the police academy during the day doesn’t leave ex-Marine Griffith Parker any personal time, but after meeting the beautiful Sonnet Mendoza, business as usual is anything but. Sassy, smart…and interested in him, too? Except, she’s made an art of keeping her distance, and she’s been clear that her plans don’t include him. But the heart wants what the heart wants. His wants Sonnet. He’ll put it on the line to win her.

Excerpt

Sonnet put water in the K-Carafe and listened to the hiss and gurgle of the brew as she got some organic eggs and soy milk out to scramble. She decided to make Griffith breakfast, too, even if it had to wait for him in the fridge. It was nice to have someone to look after again.

Hell, after yesterday, he deserved it. She knew she shouldn’t entertain starting something with him with medical school on the horizon, but after spending time with him, a great weight had been lifted off her shoulders, and she was ready to start fresh and tackle her workweek. She sang a little, opened the fridge, and bent to retrieve the bacon from the bottom shelf. A sharp intake of breath filled the silence from a few feet away.

From under her arm she saw Griff, half naked in black sweat bottoms with the Police Academy logo. Her eyes drifted to the hard planes of his abs, a sculpted eight pack most men would give their left nut for. His stacked chest rose and fell, and his fists clenched. Like a current in the air, she could feel him trying to keep it together.

Her gaze trailed past his ribs and flat stomach, down the sharp V of his hip flexors, to the promise of what lay beneath.

Finally, her brain kicked in and she realized her bikini thong was on display with the globes of her ass cheeks parted and raised in the air, like she was waiting for him to grab hold and ride. Her hair chose the wrong moment to slide over her shoulder and into her face, and he let out a strangled moan.

Oh, God.

She stood and yanked the hem of her shirt down. “Jeez, I’m so sorry. I didn’t think you were up. I was just about to make breakfast before I got changed.”

He gulped. Her eyes flicked to the hardened bulge of his cock, which tented against his sweats. He looked like he wanted to devour her. “I…need to use the bathroom,” he growled tightly, then marched down the hall and slammed the bathroom door.

She looked at the exposed bottom half of her panties, and rolled her eyes. “Great, Sonnet. Just great.” She turned off the stove, abandoned the breakfast food, and made her way to her bedroom. A stifled moan escaped from behind the closed bathroom door as she passed, and stopped her in her tracks.

In any other circumstance she wouldn’t give it a second thought—people moaned all the time because they were tired or relieved—but she listened. It was a certain kind of moan, one she made the first night she’d met him when she touched herself.

She heard a distinctive rhythmic thwacking of flesh upon flesh, a series of muffled pants, a grunt, and soft thud against the wall, and her pussy throbbed. She clenched her thighs together and put her palm over her mouth.

Review

Sonnet Mendoza has been doing everything possible to achieve her dream and all that hard work brings her one step closer she receives an unexpected opportunity. The one thing she didn't plan on was meeting a man that could change everything.

Griffith Parker is a man of duty, so attending the police academy after getting honorably discharged from the military. His goal is simple until he meets a woman that calls to him like none before.

Their connection grows the more they get to know each other. A passion like theirs can only be fought for so long until it combusts.

But when their careers threaten to take them in different directions, will they find a way to stay together or will they walk away from each other to achieve their dreams?

Sonnet Coupled is a witty, saucy, entertaining read that captivates the reader from page one until the delightful conclusion.

Sonnet is a kind, generous person and that shows in everything she does. She appreciates the little things and doesn't take things for granted. Even though she's lived a largely sheltered life she isn't afraid to try new things even if it takes it out of her comfort zone. I really love her spirit.

Griff is a man's man and sexy as all get out. A man that will do whatever it takes to protect the people he cares about is heartwarming. His dedication to his job is honorable. And he's a man that knows what he wants to doesn't stop until he gets it.

I loved Sonnet Coupled a lot more than I expected. The storyline is engaging and charming, the hero tempting and upstanding, the heroine alluring and respectable, and the romance intense and all consuming.

I would highly recommend Sonnet Coupled to any looking for a read that will take them on an emotional journey and leave you with a smile.

Review

Chloe Collins is finally ready to admit her dreams of Dom ever returning her affection is a lost cause. And what better way to do that then to start dating.

Dominic Austin has kept his secret for long he begins to think his time to make his feelings known has past. But during a disagreement he makes a move that completely changes everything.

Can they find a to transition from friends to lovers, or is it too late for them?

The Dating Experiment is a sassy, laugh out loud, entertaining read that will keep you glued to each page until the exciting end.

I love how saucy Chloe is and her quick wit is dazzling. The love she has for her friends and knows she can always count on them is endearing.

Dom can be a pain in the butt, but his heart is in the right place. He'd do anything for Chloe even if she never returned his feelings. He's got a huge heart but doesn't like to show it unless it's for those he's closest to.

The passion between Chloe and Dom is hot and intense. So when they finally do come together... hot damn. And when Dom finally gets his hands on Chloe, he'll do everything to keep her.

I love Emma's style of writing and thoroughly enjoyed The Dating Experiment. The banter is superb, the love off the charts, and the storyline charming. The Dating Experiment is book you won't want to put down once you pick it up.

This is one book that I highly recommend especially if you looking for something hilarious and completely engaging.

About The Author

By day, New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Adult author Emma Hart dons a cape and calls herself Super Mum to two beautiful little monsters. By night, she drops the cape, pours a glass of whatever she fancies—usually wine—and writes books.

Emma is working on Top Secret projects she will share with her followers and fans at every available opportunity. Naturally, all Top Secret projects involve a dashingly hot guy who likes to forget to wear a shirt, a sprinkling (or several) of hold-onto-your-panties hot scenes, and a whole lotta love.

She likes to be busy—unless busy involves doing the dishes, but that seems to be when all the ideas come to life.

Review Tour ~ The Replacement Wife by Britney King

The Replacement Wife
Author: Britney King
Genre: Psychological Thriller
Release Date: May 3, 2018

From the bestselling author of The Social Affair comes a new riveting, powerful psychological thriller which offers a savage look into a utopian cultish society where beauty and perfection are valued at all costs.

For readers of Gillian Flynn and Paula Hawkins, The Replacement Wife offers a peek into the lives of a married couple up against impossible odds and the notion that history has a way of repeating itself.

Statistically speaking, fifty percent of marriages end up in divorce. What are the odds for murder?

Widower Tom Anderson is a savant with more affinity for numbers than people. Problem is, one is a lonely number. Thankfully, he solved for X by finding the perfect woman. It wasn't easy. Tom is very specific. He has to be.

Having checked 'find trophy wife' off his list, life was moving along swimmingly. Until that perfect woman let it slip--she has a past. One she kept hidden, almost perfectly.

Sure, she lied--she fudged the numbers. Most women do.

Now, Tom has buyers' remorse and according to cult rules only two options: get rid of her--or single-handedly erase her past.

She's a liar. But she does keep house well. And she makes a mean lasagna.

Decisions, decisions.

Razor-sharp and utterly gripping, this electrifying story explores the lengths one will go in the pursuit of perfection, little white lies that can turn lethal, and the danger lurking behind the smiles of those we trust most.

Normally a psychological thriller isn't something I read, but I thought I see what all the fuss was about.

What I got in The Replacement Wife was a spine tingling, spellbinding, seat on the edge of your seat read that keeps you guessing what will happen next.

All three have issues that make this a read that will take your breath away over and over again.

But beware, although this is fictional read, the dangers are real.

I really enjoyed this read more than I expected, it's storyline is engrossing and very compelling.

So if you are looking for a read that will take you on a thrilling journey of twists and turns, that I highly you pick up The Replacement Wife today.

Britney King lives in Austin, Texas with her husband, children, two dogs, one ridiculous cat, and a partridge in a pear tree.

When she's not wrangling the things mentioned above, she writes psychological, domestic and romantic thrillers set in suburbia.

Currently, she's writing three series and several standalone novels.

The Bedrock Series features an unlikely heroine who should have known better. Turns out, she didn’t. Thus she finds herself tangled in a messy, dangerous, forbidden love story and face-to-face with a madman hell-bent on revenge. The series has been compared to Fatal Attraction, Single White Female, and Basic Instinct.

The Water Series follows the shady love story of an unconventional married couple—he’s an assassin—she kills for fun. It has been compared to a crazier book version of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Also, Dexter.

Around The Bend is a heart-pounding standalone, which traces the journey of a well-to-do suburban housewife, and her life as it unravels, thanks to the secrets she keeps. If she were the only one with things she wanted to keep hidden, then maybe it wouldn’t have turned out so bad. But she wasn’t.

The With You Series at its core is a deep love story about unlikely friends who travel the world; trying to find themselves, together and apart. Packed with drama and adventure along with a heavy dose of suspense, it has been compared to The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and Love, Rosie.

The Social Affair is an intense standalone about a timeless couple who find themselves with a secret admirer they hadn’t bargained for. For fans of the anti-heroine and stories told in unorthodox ways, the novel explores what can happen when privacy is traded for convenience. It is reminiscent of films such as One Hour Photo and Play Misty For Me.

Without a doubt, connecting with readers is the best part of this gig. You can find Britney online:
