At the start, we meet Nathan and Charlotte as teenagers, dealing with Charlotte's brain tumor and cancer. Their relationship is sweet and loving, the thing you always hope for. But things change with Charlotte makes the decision to leave to seek treatment. She leaves Nathan behind, although it hurts her. She writes to him for years, but Nathan is spending his time trying to make it into the SEALS. She still wants him even after nine years!! Oh my goodness!! Only after all this time, does she finally decide to let him go. Frankly, if it was me, I would have let him long before that. She's got loads to live for, she in remission and, as they say, the world is her oyster. However, Nathan finally comes to his senses and wants her back. Will she take him back? Will they live happily ever after?

I enjoyed this book even with the angst. I would have preferred more begging on his part though. I can't wait to see what the next installment of the Jackson Boys has to offer.
