Title: The Billionaire Bargain Part 1
Series: The Billionaire Bargain #1
Author: Lila Monroe
Release Date: January 22, 2015
Synopsis
Sexy Australian billionaire Grant Devlin is ruining my life. He exercises shirtless in his office, is notorious for his lunchtime nooners, he even yawns sexily. If I didn't need this job so bad, I'd take his black Amex and tell him where to swipe it.
He doesn't even know I exist, but why would he? He jets off to Paris with supermodels, I spend Friday nights with Netflix and a chunk of Pepperidge Farm frozen cake—waiting for his call. Because every time he crashes his yacht, or blows $500k on a single roulette spin in Monte Carlo, I’m the PR girl who has to clean up his mess.
But this time, it’s going to take more than just a fat charity donation. This time, the whole company is on the line. He needs to show investors that he’s settling down, and Step #1 is pretending to date a nice, stable girl until people forget about what happened with the Playboy Bunnies backstage at the Oscars.
My plan is perfect, except for one thing:
He picks me.

Review
When the book first started, I was a little skeptical. Lacey is on a blind date and it's not going too well; let's just say that he leaves nothing to be desired. Luckily for her, she receives a message from her boss, Jacinda, that she is need at work, immediately. Lacey really needs to get out more, but her job keeps her busy 24/7, but Jacinda needs Lacey at her beck and call, no questions asked. Lacey has bills and student loans to pay, so she sucks it up hoping beyond hope that things will change for the better.
Tonight, she's been called in to help negate any damage that may be caused from Mr. Devlin's latest incident. While reading and taking notes, she rolls her eyes at the statement that will be released, and unbeknownst to her, Grant notices. Grant Devlin is the owner of the company and strikingly handsome. Although she may fantasize about him, she knows nothing will come from it; she's not the type of girl a guy like that falls for let along notices.
The only problem is, Grant has noticed her and something in the way he looks are her makes Lacey nervous. He gives her a ride home after the late night meeting and she let's loose what she really things about Grant. And to her surprise, he says nothing. Getting little sleep, she gets into work thinking that she may be fired at any minute but instead is asked out to lunch by none other than Grant.
Lunch ends up being more enjoyable that Lacey originally thought it would, so great that she doesn't notice how much time as passed. Now's she's late and worried about getting fired for sure, but Grant assures her that all will be well. Once she returns to work, it is exactly as Lacey fears. Her boss is screaming mad and is just about to fire her when Grant walks in and fires Jacinda instead and Lacey gets her job! Still reeling from Jacinda's sudden departure, Grant tells Lacey that job is hers!
Now Lacey is faced with working with Grant, daily, to help the company and his image problems. This wouldn't be such a big deal, except Lacey can't stop fantazing about Grant. She tells herself to walk away, but Grant peruses her and she's not sure what game he playing at.
Things really begin to change after spending time together at his apartment one night. She tried to leave, but Grant uses everything to make her stay. (Holy smokes Batman!) Although she walks away before taking it the next level, Grant still has something up his sleeve and Lacey is in the bulls eye!
The inner dialogue Lacey was is priceless; it reminded me a lot of myself. The end game of Grant's master plan is unknown, but the ride sure is thrilling. I relate to Lacey in a lot of way and found myself unable to put this book down until the end. Really looking forward to see what happens next. Defiantly a fast pace and exciting read. Thank you Lila!
