With five overbearing brothers, Piper Dare heads West in order to forge her own life. Her trip takes an unexpected turn when she fills in as a mail order bride for a woman she meets on the stage.

Lane Haskins and Spur Drews are stunned by their new bride. A gun toting, foul language spewing redhead is not what they expected. But they don't mind the little wildcat. In fact, they love her instantly.

But their match takes a decided turn and their love—and devotion—is put to a very powerful test.

Review

Piper Dare is a woman that knows what she wants and will not anything or anyone stop her from getting it. So while on the run from her over protective brothers an unexpected situation falls into her lap.

Spur and Lane are at that point in life where they want to settle down and have the family they always wanted. Their childhood was less than ideal and not something they like to share. Piper is nothing like the girls the guys are used to, but they are up to the challenge.

Piper never expected Spur or Lane and she is quite possibly in over her head. Her secret could jeopardize everything, but she's not the only keeping secrets. But secrets always have a way of coming out.

So can a relationship that started out with half truths work out their difference and begin anew? Or are there too many secrets and lies to overcome?

Piper is indeed a wild woman! I loved her spunk and wittiness, she's one feisty woman that isn't afraid to speak her mind. I loved how she took hold of her future, no was never an option.

Spur and Lane have bond that some family only wish they had. I love how protective they are of each other, Lil, and of course Piper. They are always willing to lend a hand when needed, and will always do what is right. But when it comes to Piper, she's everything to them. I adore their love for her and how they would never wish to change her, she perfect in their eyes.

A Wild Woman is a feisty, witty, thrilling, seductive book filled with heart and soul. This book is a quick page turner that will have you captivated until the very end. The misunderstanding will intrigue you and the love warm your heart.

I enjoyed this book and can't wait to see what is next in this savory series.

A Wanton Woman: Mail Order Bride of Slate Springs

Celia Lawrence can't show her face in her conservative, small town. First, she discovered her husband in bed with another man's wife, and then she witnessed both their murders. While she didn't pull the trigger, small town gossip is not forgiving and everywhere she goes she is chastised for not being woman enough to keep her straying husband at home. Eager to flee her old life, Celia heads to Colorado as a mail-order bride.

As mayor of Slate Springs, Colorado, Luke Benson is expected to set the example. Their small town is hidden away in a remote mountainous region where few women have the courage or desire to tread. As mayor, it falls to him to test out their newly passed law and share a wife with his brother. The truth is, Luke has no interest in a woman of his own, and agrees to a mail-order bride out of duty, not anticipation.

His brother, Walker, is jaded and hard after the death of his first wife and unborn child. For Walker, loving again is out of the question. But a man has needs, and he'll eagerly take his pleasure from their new bride while expecting Luke to provide the tenderness and caring a woman expects.

A marriage based on everything but love should be doomed. But Celia, Luke and Walker discover one thing they have in common: desire. Will that be strong enough to survive the danger that follows Celia from Texas? Will desire be strong enough to teach the three that sometimes you have to risk everything for love?

About Vanessa Vale

Who doesn't love the romance of the old West? USA Today Bestselling author Vanessa Vale takes the sensual appeal of rugged cowboys a step further with her bestselling books set in the Montana Territory. They are much more than just sexy historical westerns. They're deliciously naughty reads that sometimes push the boundaries of fantasy. It's pure escapism with quite a few very hot, very alpha cowboys.

When she's not writing, Vanessa savors the insanity of raising two boys, is figuring out how many meals she can make with a pressure cooker, and teaches a pretty mean karate class. She considers herself to be remarkably normal, exceedingly introverted and fairly vanilla, which does not explain her steamy stories and her fascination with cowboys, preferably more than one at a time.

She lives in the Wild Wild West where there's an endless source of 'research' material.
