Amelia Van Ecken isn’t just another woman. She’s an independent, smart, and savvy businesswoman who doesn’t have time for sex, much less love. In the midst of a drawn-out, bitter divorce, all she wants is to bury herself in work. But when sharp-tongued Amelia and stubborn Andrew cross paths, sparks fly—and burn. Two things are obvious in an instant: they want each other, and they’re from different worlds. It’s the perfect formula for an off-the-charts one-night stand. After all, it’s not as if opposites ever attract.
The First Taste, a standalone spin-off of the Slip of the Tongue.

Review
There aren’t enough words in the world to explain just how
much I loved this book. Seriously, Jessica has out done herself with this one
and left me with such a book hangover. I knew The First Taste was going to be
good, but I didn’t expect me to be blown away by just how great it was.
Andrew Beckwith is seriously one drop dead, melt your panties,
and take your breath away single dad. The love he has for his daughter will
make you swoon. But when he opens his month says all those delicious, dirty, and
naughty things, it will have you going weak in the knees and begging for more.
Amelia Van Ecken is strong willed, independent, successful
woman. She’s been through the wringer lately due to her cheating, lying, soon
to be ex-husband. Getting into a new relationship is the furthest thing in her
mind, but there is something about Andrew that draws her in, not that I blame
her. He’s everything she’s never wanted, but everything her body desires. I
loved watching her come to terms with her feelings for Andrew, yet never giving
up her own personal style. She stays true to herself, and that I something that
I can relate to.
I loved how they first came together with their rules and
promises that this is nothing but a one-night stand, but together they are electrifying.
The spark will fly off the pages, heating up the reader like no other. I mean
seriously, they are hot, hot, hot.
The First Taste is an exceptional book and I highly
recommend this book to everyone. Jessica’s writing style draws the reader in,
never letting go until the very end. Yet even you finish, you’ll still be
yearning for more.
I can wait to see what Jessica will bring us next, but I’m
sure it will be just as phenomenal!
