After years of annoying her from afar, Lord Christopher Hiddleston leaps at the chance to return to Cambridge and the fiery girl he has never forgotten. Now a successful Gothic novelist, Christopher will use his notoriety to support the school...and drive Etta wild.

Closing his mouth, Christopher turned to her.
“Did your father just leave?”
Etta sat up straight. “Yes. Would you like
dessert?”
“Your father just left. The house.”
“Yes.”
“Leaving you with a man to whom you are not
related.”
“This is not a troublesome thing.”
“Yes, it is,” he exploded. “It is a
troublesome thing. I am troubled. Is this the care he takes of you? Is
this how he shows his concern?”
Her brow creased. “It is how he’s always
been, but I am not often home for dinner. The Havisham does well, or when Gwen
is home, I—” She paled. Swallowing, she continued, “I do not often eat here.”
“How he’s—” Of a sudden, her presence at The
Havisham Arms all those years ago made sense. How it was always she and Gwen
alone, never accompanied. Never protected. “My god.” Rubbing his jaw, he shook
his head. “My god.”
Brows drawn and clearly confused, she said,
“Are you well?”
He wanted to go to her. He wanted wrap her in
his embrace and never let her go. Did her father not know the lively,
passionate, intelligent woman his daughter was?
Exhaling, he placed his hands on the table.
“How can he treat you such? Those things he said…. He discounts your opinion as
if it is nothing. Does he not know his daughter? Does he not know the amazing
brain you have? My god, I had to work to keep up with you. Every argument you
countered, with passion and vigour. He is a fool if he does not see it. If he
doesn’t see you.”
Etta stared at him and the next thing he
knew, she’d somehow made her way around the table, her arms were about him, and
her lips were on his.
Before he could react, she pulled back, her
expression falling. “Did I not do it right?”
Why did she think that, because he hadn’t
immediately responded? How could he, when she’d taken him completely by
surprise? “Etta—”
She continued as if he hadn’t spoken. “I knew
I wouldn’t do it right, I knew it would be disaster and…oh Lord, it was a disaster,
wasn’t it? Why did I even attempt it? I apologise, I apologise profusely—”
“Etta.”
She fell silent, wide brown eyes drowning
him.
Cupping her face, he said, “I’m going to kiss
you now.”
“Oh.”
She closed her eyes. “All right.”

Eight years ago Thomas Cartwright and Lady Nicola Fitzgibbons were friends, but when her diplomat father departs London, Nicola must follow. Bored, she falls into scandal and Thomas, studying to become a barrister, is forced to sever their ties.
Now Lady Nicola is back and she wont let him ignore her.
No matter how much their mothers wished them wed, Sarah Wetherall loathed Arthur Davenport. Circumstance, however, conspires against her and perhaps she does need his legal expertise, but she refuses to acknowledge how handsome her oldest foe has become or her reaction to him.
For over a year, Miss Gwendolyn Parkes and the Duke of Sowrith have corresponded. At first an error, the letters quickly became something much more, a friendship forged on like minds and perhaps the hope of something more.
