Review Blitz ~ Miss Fix-It by Emma Hart

Miss Fix It
by Emma Hart
Release Day – Oct 31, 2017
Standalone

One handywoman.
One single dad.
One set of twins.
And the wall isn’t the only thing being drilled…

I learned the hard way that being a handywoman isn’t easy. The questions, the stares—the assumption I’m the proud owner of a cock and balls. Not that it matters. I’ve proven over and over that I’m ready for anything the judgmental asses throw at me.

Except the hot, single dad of twins who just moved to town.

Brantley Cooper gets the shock of his life when I show up on his doorstep to fix up his kids’ new rooms. His son is confused why ‘the pretty lady has a drill,’ and his daughter has a new obsession—me.

On paper, my job is easy. Go in, do their bedrooms, and leave.

In theory, I’m spending eight hours a day with a guarded, sexy as hell guy, and I’m staying for dinner more often than I’m eating it alone, on my couch, with Friends re-runs.

I shouldn’t be staying for dinner. I shouldn’t be helping him out with the twins. I shouldn’t be falling in love with tiny toes and dimpled cheeks.

And I most definitely should not be kissing my client.

Oops…

Excerpt

“Deal with it,” I echoed, my mouth dry. “What exactly do you mean by that?”

He glanced at my mouth.

“Okay, but, um, here’s the thing.” I couldn’t breathe. I sounded like a panting idiot trying to get the words out between each short, sharp breath I took. “This,” I motioned between us, “is bad.”

“Bad.” His lips tugged to the side.

“Yes. Because,”—help. Someone help—“because this isn’t allowed. Company rules. No cavorting with clients.”

“No cavorting with clients.” That half-smile turned into a full-blown grin. “That’s very…proper.”

“Well, I can’t exactly put, “No sleeping with the clients” now, can I?”

“You could have, but it would have been unfortunately precise.”

“I should change that.”

“I disagree.”

I licked my lips. “You should agree. Because this is—”

“Bad. You said.” More lip twitching.

“I thought you were sorry you made it awkward by kissing me.”

“That was before I found out you were attracted to me. Now, I’m a lot less sorry I kissed you.”

Oh. Well. Fair enough.

“Should I take back my acceptance of your apology?” I asked.

“You should stop talking and see how you feel when I’ve kissed you again.”

Review

Kali Hancock is used to people doubt her abilities because she's a she. But through it all, she's proved herself time and time again. And when it comes to the job there is one rule she has always kept... don't mix business with pleasure.

Brantley Cooper needed a new start for him and his children. What he needs is a little help getting his kids' rooms fixed up for them.

What was supposed to be a job and nothing more quickly turns into something deeper. Kali has never what kids but she can't help but fall for Eli and Ellie. Brantley hasn't been with anyone in years because he put his kids first. The sexual tension is high so it's only a matter of time until it combust. In the end can these two different people forge a future or will this be nothing but a passing fling?

Miss Fix-It is a fun, sassy, sexy read that captives the reader from start to finish.

Kali is a strong, saucy, hilarious woman that doesn't take crap from anyone. I love her witty banter with everyone she comes into contact with. She isn't a afraid to speak her mind even if it mean sticking her foot in her mouth. What I love most is her heart... for her job, her friends, her family, and for two adorable twins. She never wanted kids let alone like them, but the way she opens up to Eli and Ellie is heartwarming.

Brantley is down right sexy. He wanted a new life for him and his kids, so he does whatever it takes to make that happen as easy as possible for the kids. And when it comes to Kali, he doesn't back down even when she tries to push him away.

The tension between the two is intense and it burns hot. That first kiss is stunning and it only gets hotter after that. The wall? Damn!

I really loved every second of Miss Fix-It and fell in love with Kali, Brantley, and especially Eli and Ellie. The dynamic between the four is brilliant. I laughed, I cried, and I swooned. This truly is a rom-com that nails it.

If you are looking for a humorous filled, remarkable banter, intense sexual innuendo, and an incredible storyline, then I highly recommend you pick up Miss Fix-It today. You own't be disappointed.
